About the Role

Poppy is looking for a Full-stack Developer to join our engineering team. As a core member of the team you will be responsible for the design and development of systems and features that enables the Poppy experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Writing maintainable and testable backend logic and code

• Designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs

• Maintaining databases and writing SQL code

• Translating product specs into code and usable features

About You

We are looking for someone who is well versed across web based technologies

Ideally you would have:

• A background in web development with experience developing with web based frameworks such as Rails, Django, or Nodejs

• Knowledge of modern web development standards (HTML 5, CSS 3, ES6)

• Familiarity with front end JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular

• Understanding of databases the ability to write SQL

About the Role

Poppy is looking for a Front End Developer to join our engineering team. As a core member of the team you will be responsible for the design and implementing client side features that will be used by families, caregivers, and members of the Poppy team.

Responsibilities include:

• Writing front end code in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

• Creating maintainable, reusable, and testable components in React

• Translating product spec into beautiful and responsive UIs and user-facing features

• Consuming REST APIs and moving data between the backend and frontend

About You

• We are looking for someone who passionate about the web and dedicated to creating rich experiences.

Ideally you would have:

• Deep knowledge of modern web development standards (HTML 5, CSS 3, ES6)

• Experience with front end JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular

• Knowledge of best practices for designing and maintaining responsive web applications using CSS and CSS preprocessors

• Familiarity with with front end build tools and testing frameworks

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, or other web frameworks

About the Role

We’re looking for self-starter to join the Poppy team as a Community and Customer Service manager.

Responsibilities include:

• communicating with families and caregivers - both for daily customer service and ongoing through newsletters and emails

• building our community online, managing social media channels, and events

• helping with ongoing operations

Ideally you’ll have:

• 3-5 years working in a collaborative environment

• experience building and engaging communities online (either for another company or in your community)

• excellent writing skills

• scary good attention to detail

• bias for action and getting things done

• a love of working with people

Bonus Points:

• Experience in childcare or working with kids
